Basic Role & Responsibilities:
- Support Mission. To promote philanthropy by identifying and addressing present and future community needs.
- Support Purpose. Connecting Generosity with Need® while enriching the quality of lives of those we serve.
- Grow Endowment and Ensure adequate Financial Resources. One of the board’s foremost responsibilities is to secure adequate resources for the organization to fulfill its mission. Each board member is required to commit to an initial $10,000 donation. This can be paid over an extended period. After the initial commitment is fulfilled, an annual 'Give or Get' commitment of $2,500 is encouraged.
- Serve on a Committee(s). Each board member will serve on a minimum of one standing committee along with serving on a special events committee.
- Attendance. Each board member is expected to attend 80% of all board meetings.
- Communication. Each board member is expected to communicate effectively and timely to emails, calendar invitations and other CFRC correspondence.
- Ensure Legal and Ethical Integrity. The board is ultimately responsible for adherence to legal standards and ethical norms.
- Enhance the Organization’s Public Standing. Each board member should clearly articulate the organization’s mission, purpose, accomplishments, and goals to the public and garner support from the community through advocacy.
